Duke Nukem Forever demo to be playable at Penny Arcade Expo 2010 in Seattle. Alphas, leaks and screenshots have been floating around since the Clinton era. Here's hoping we see a return of ass kicking and gum chewing next year.

I anticipate a major flop outside of cult followers.

The games been in development so long it's gotta be dated in some way (Graphics, UI, feel, etc)

That said......

DNF would take the cake on "Soon (tm)"... They would also put to shame Valve Time

(For those new to Duke Nukem Forever, It was aimed to be release in summer 1998... and since then has been pushed back constantly... Leading to be what is now considered a joke akin to "when pigs fly" for some people)...

Looks like pigs may sprout wings soon (tm).

Anyway, here's a funny IGN Review of Duke Nukem Forever. Check the date of the article ;-)

Considering every time it's hinted at the art gets an upgrade, I doubt the models, textures, animations will be lacking.

Any dating in the UI would be viewed as being classic. I unironically agree with this.

The feel of the game just has to be misogynistic and bloodthirsty. Nobody ever expected Duke to be a deep and nuanced character.

You're the kind of guy that watches Die Hard and then flips out that it wasn't realistic.

You misunderstand, I just stated I thought DNF would be a game released "two years behind" or the like..

you play it and the graphics seem less impressive at max settings then most other games...

yes, it's possible they got it full up with the times and is DX9/10.1 level

Just a heads up if you own Borderlands on steam you can get early access to some kind of Beta.

Check your game CD keys it should be there.

You activate it here.

Yeah, I'm hoping that's console footage and that we'll get something a little nicer on PC.
