Over all I'd say there is a lot of room for improvement. Gear itself is decent, although I don't know why he has abyssal rune or is gemming for haste and AP. Gemming for haste and haste/ap is bad. As a SV hunter you gem for straight up 20agil no matter what. Haste is not the be all end all stat, first its Agility, crit, then armpen, then haste. Trinkets are also very lackluster and easily fixed, Darkmoon Card: Greatness is fairly easy to get now that gold is so easy to come by and Needle-Encrusted Scorpion is better than Mirror of Truth. A lot of badge gear- which although is nice, the badges could have and should have been spent on T10 first, seeing as how its a much bigger damage increase.

Your so far into diminishing returns on haste that idk what to tell you. Haste is the 4th to 5th overall stat a SV hunter should worry about. Once SS is at the GBC any more hate become useless, and your haste puts SS well below the GBC, which is a waste. You crit is also VERY low for a SV hunter in as good of gear as your in. Crit is all that matters in SV, which is why we stack agility.

Your spec is also very screwy. You have 9.21% hit rating but also have 1 point in FA, why? Also, 1 point in Resourcefulness, again why? 3/3 in that for the damage increase from the reduced CD on BA. 3/3 in hunting party is a waste. At your crit level 2/3 is enough for 95% up time and at my 75% crit 25man buffed 1/3 is enough for 95% uptime. Although IAoTH is nice, those two points could be better spent somewhere else.

All in all a lot of holes that need to be filled IMO. Also, please list your entire raiding experience.

Just in case you marksman spec is your actual spec I'll throw my hat in the ring.
You're talent build is the standard for a hunter based on armor penetration which you don't have nearly enough of to pull off. With your current gear you would be better off taking the points out of imp. hunters mark and putting them into improved arcane shot. This would help boost your dps overall. Until you reach the magic 50% armor penetration WITH a proc trinket your arcane shot is your best friend.

Other than that I agree with what ranged has to say about gear. So depending on which spec is your real spec feel free to talk to one of us, ranged knows survival and i got marksman covered.

Well here is my 2 bits, I was in Runa's friday ICC 25 run with this guy, he performed fine, didn't make any catastrophic errors in raid position or performance. I agree with the gear assesments, it is VERY! difficult to use the same gear for SV and MM. You gem completely differnt, and arpen stacking is a MUST for MM.
A side not to ranged I've run FoS over 30 times now and still can't get the needle, however there are other options.
I think if tuna was willing to take some advice and guidance from our resident hunters he may be a good addition, but as it stands my hunter out performed him last week, and i have some large gaps in my gearing (bluntedge).

I'd suggest you talk to ranged in game for SV tips and me (shiroshima/Bluntedge) for MM, I'm unsure of anti's availability though i can pass you along to him.
Instead of taking this as an attack on you, see it as an opportunity to learn and impress

Spoke with him a good bit today and did some number crunching with him, he is going to regem for agility and work on tweaking his gear a bit. We'll see how it goes


Also just noticed this now- "Free from 6:30pm server to whenever"
We start raiding at 5:30pm server, just as an fyi

Raided some things with him today and he did good. He is almost done with regemming and then working on his spec, thumbs up for a trial when he finishes.

Much better spec, although a couple minor tweaks. Now that hit is transfered to your pet from FA I'd recommend trying to replace a lot of your hit gear with pure dps gear and move the two points in ImpStings to FA. ImpStings is only good if you have 2-piece T9. Also the PvP trinket could easily be replaced by Needle-Encrusted scorpion or Banner of victory until you get Scorpion. Thumbs up for a trial though.

With the addition of Marc we are no longer in need of hunters.
