Race and Class

Provide a link to your armory information:
Have you ever applied to Damage Control before?

No

Please provide more detailed information about yourself below

Previous guilds & why you left -- please include transfer information:

The only other serious guild that I have been in was Vilified my reason for leaving was that we basically dwindled out during WoTLK and in the last while has basically ceased to exist. The guild that I am in now is just a group of friends that I have played with since I started my WoW career and had a lot of fun with.

Raid Experience:

My wow career started late vanilla in which I got to level 45ish. In BC I cleared all content from Kara through Black Temple, I however never did get a chance to get into Sunwell. During WoTLK I have cleared Naxx 10/25, OS 2d on 25 and 3d on 10 man, Maly 10/25, I have killed up until freya in Ulduar on 25 man and killed yogg on 10 man, I have killed the first 4 bosses in ten man ICC and have yet to set foot into 25 man.

Why are you applying to Damage Control?

I am applying to DC because I have played with a few people who are in the guild and have always had great experiences with these players through wipes and successfull runs. I would also like to be in a guild that makes good progress but is full of personalities that I enjoy being around.

Please tell us how you are currently working to "gear up" your toon and maximize your raid output (such as running heroics, PuGs, crafting, PvP, arena, etc.) and what current stats you're looking to improve.

My main problem with my warrior is that I am a small amount under the expertise cap which for a fury warrior is not a big problem, another issue that I have right now is that I am currently gemmed for Str but recently have noticed that Arp is more beneficial to gem for.

Are you prepared to rotate your raid spot?

I am prepared to sit out my raid spot if someone else has been sat out or is needed for the group make up.

Do you have Ventrilo and a working mic?

I do although my mic is not very good.

Additional information you'd like us to consider:

Other information that I would like you to know about is that I am a fast learner and know how to STOOTFF. I am a fun person to be around and do not get discouraged when wiping, thats the point of being in a raiding guild you take the challenging things and persevere.

I ran with jurdin in Ranged's pug group this week, he put decent DPS and also I do not recall any noob-ish thing made by him -- Which is a good thing. Now, before that I said something in regards if we should get a trial run or not. I would like to mention a couple comments...

[Talents and Glyphs]

Talent-wise, His toon almost match the golden standard of the Fury Spec,. He could probably want to give up 1 talent point [Booming Voice] and put it on [Improved Cleave], The DPS improvement of cleave on a multi-adds encounters worth more than just save 10 rage every 2 minutes

The Glyphs are Ok for the most part, but I'm not sure why he has [Glyph of Thunder Clap]. As far as I know, this glypth does not give him any DPS improvement and also it seems very unlikely that he will change stances during a fight just for this ability.

[Gear]

His Gear mostly come from Badges and 10 mans raids, therefore there is room for improvement. I consider that he need to work a little more for balancing his stats. For an instance: I do not think that he will benefit for ArP yet.

ArP becomes the golden stat for Fury Warriors until they reach certain gear level, and this moment I dont think that he has it. My suggestion is that he may want to continue stacking +Crit and +Str until gear reaches 245 or better

In terms of the Caps (hit/expertise), he still need to work to get it as soon as he can. According to my numbers he needs 17 points on hit -- which is not a big deal, but, on expertise he needs 87 points -- which I considered very low.

[Guild Needs]

I’m not sure if we need another DPS warrior on the guild. Currently the Fury Spec is cover by me, and Jeynus covers the Arms Spec. Also, I don’t think that Jeynus want to become a full time tank and open a spot for Arms DPS.

If the Officers decide to give him a trial run, it's ok with me, but I'm unsure in which way we could set his expectation about the raids invites.

[Note]

He whispered me yesterday, and he told me that he is available for any test run that we want to invite him.

I think we are set on melee dps at this moment. But things can always change. Moving people around in the raid is definately a decent way to promote synergy.

I do think Jeynus would love to tank for us full time; however his gear and abilities are not quite up to par with what is needed for progression right now. But if we do want to go down that avenue, I fully support that decision. It just might take a month or two for adjustments.

With that in mind we could have Jurdin come in as arms and Moldrekh go DPS since his numbers are getting way up there. Again, that may be too much melee for a good blend. Feel free to discuss this further in a forum post.
